Hi loves! I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet on here and haven’t been given much attention to my social media channels. I’ve had a bit of a life change recently and it’s been crazy! A finally did it. A job switch at 30! Can you believe it? But honestly, the job switch was the best thing to happen to me. I truly believe it in my 20’s I was reckless, always wanting to explore the world and living up my life.

I was working in banking and had a steady great income to afford all my traveling, cars and lifestyle. But then it became hard. I had a market manager who completely changed my life. He moved me from one center to another. One that I didn’t belong in, with different and longer hours and causing my personal life to just suffer.

Needless to say, I “raged applied” to so many positions and got a couple of interviews. Then I chose to go in Aviation and became a Flight Attendant. I had to go to training which was about 6 weeks long. Literally had to pack up and head out away from family and friends. Training taught me I’m great on my own, I made some lifelong friends and friends in every part of the US.

Of course, you get home sick but overall my friends and crew made the whole experience fun and we graduated and all went to our new bases. I was very lucky to get placed in South Florida which is home to me and some of my crew also got placed here. It was great having some friends and now the job switch was hands down the best thing to happen to me.

Flight Attendant Lifestyle:

The flight attendant lifestyle is definitely an adjustment to my regular 9-5, but it’s exciting and also so much fun. I know my schedule a month before so I can plan my workouts and time home properly. I also get to travel to some pretty new places. In one month, I’ve been to on four trips and met incredible teammates. Everyone loves the freedom the job offers them and the opportunity to travel. It’s sometimes sleepless but it honestly fun and exciting. My only issue with the job switch was learning to pack into 1 carry on. It’s been a struggle. Ha-ha

Exploring new places and getting the chance to meet so many people has been fun. I literally have days where I’ll explore the city in the morning and then showered and ready by the afternoon. Washington D.C. was my last layover and it was great walking to the monuments and seeing the city. I love exploring and getting some fresh air so this is the best part for me. Then we’ll work some legs and back to a hotel or dinner with our crews. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

The Next Chapter:

Right now, I’m enjoying getting used to the job switch changes and lifestyle changes. I want to get my feet in and learn as much as I can before I start really enjoying more traveling on my off days. I’m also still saving to buy an investment home by next year and paying off my debt. Honestly, its Sephora’s fault, ha-ha no I have the worst spending habits and just spend without thinking but it’s all manageable just want to pay it off.

Also now with having more time to really be home I’m investing more time into my blog and social media content. Now we’re really going to be committed to getting brand deals and making money. So subscribe below and join in on the new journey.

And if you’re thinking about a job switch from a bad situation DO IT! The grass isn’t always greener on the other side but you can choose what you end up in. I knew going into aviation I was going to be taking a big pay cut but saved enough to have in case and also wanted the freedom from having to answer to someone and dealing with the bad teammates. Do the job switch and find peace within yourself.
