Hi loves! I know I’m a little behind on my 2020 recap & 2021 goals, but I’ve honestly been enjoying the time off and being present in the moment with my family. I hope all of you have an incredible holidays and time spent. It’s definitely was a different year and even though 2020 had a lot of bad things, I found the silver lining and brightness in 2020 to lead me into my 2021 goals.

I think last year for me personally was a year of growth and a lot of reflection. I learned a lot about myself and started to focus on myself more. Not being able to go out and being forced to stay inside allowed me the opportunity to work on things personally, emotionally and mentally. I know there wasn’t much positive things for 2020 but try to find that silver lining.

2020 Reflections

  • Time is VALUABLE!
  • Used that time to deal with a lot of personal insecurities
  • Discovered I had a thyroid issue and how that has been affecting me
  • Invested my time wisely and with people I wanted to see
  • Change & Growth is inevitable, don’t run from it.
  • Learned how to deal with my weight gain and started focusing on my health & diet
  • Faced a fear I had with growing my brand (filming myself for IG Reels/Tik Toks)

My reflections are what I took from 2020, how I grew in 2020. The most important thing is time. Back in 2016, when I had to have emergency brain surgery, I learned the importance of time. I started my blog a year later; traveled consistently and went for things I wouldn’t have before. But somewhere in late 2018-2019 I kind of lost that drive and passion to do things or travel. Last year, I promised myself I would travel again and do things differently.

2020 started great, I worked for the halftime show of the Superbowl, so I saw Shakira and JLo in person for the best performance of 2020 was in the middle of it all. I went to the Maxim’s Super Bowl Party and met so many people and witnessed so many performances then lockdown hit. So, I’m sticking to it and focusing that energy to my career. It’s not the best time to travel or go to big events so instead of having this feeling of FOMO, I’m putting all that energy into my career and taking my blog and influence to higher levels.

That’s my passion and with that I want to grow a community of like-minded woman. I’m going to focus on the things I can control with my blog and social media. Once traveling becomes safe again and events, I’m going. I don’t care if I’m going by myself, with family or friends, but I’m going. With that, lets head to my 2021 goals.
