Hi loves! Today, I’ll be sharing the best workout songs and the playlist I listen too while working out. Here is also an inside look to my diet and workout.
I’m not big on the whole Spotify/Apple Music playlist, I like to create my own playlist. I buy the songs and just create a playlist to my mood for the workout. Truly, I think the songs playing either motivate me to work harder or to just have fun. So it helps me either push myself or just get through it.
I love using headphones that cover my ears, for some reason the small (fit in your ears) headphones just end up falling out. I bought a cheap one on Amazon that covers my ears and stays on my head during a run or at home workout.
CrossFit Workout
At our gym, we all get a say in the music and it’s usually a more rock feel to push you. Usually some Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Breaking Benjamin, Linking Park, etc.
Best Workout Songs:
- What I’ve Done – Linkin Park
- Somewhere I Belong- Linkin Park
- Los Angeles- Blink 182
- In the End- Linkin Park
- Bored to Death- Blink 192
- I Will Not Bow- Breaking Benjamin
- Gold Steps- Neck Deep
- The Diary of Jane- Breaking Benjamin
- Centuries- Fall Out Boy
- Burn It Down- Linkin Park
This playlist literally pushes me so hard and to dig deeper each grueling CrossFit workout. Each round as it gets harder, the songs just have a beat to help you just dig deeper and keep going.
Cardio Workouts
For a cardio workout, I tend to play different songs that just I can sing along with. Songs that allow me to feel like I’m not running for 5 miles. Cardio is my absolute worst, no matter how hard I try to fix it. My best workout songs consists of many rap/hip hop songs.
Favorites:
- God’s Plan- Drake
- No Limit- G Eazy (last mile song)
- Freaky Friday- Lil Dicky
- Chun-Li- Nikki Minaj
- The Middle – Zedd
- Electricity- Silk City
- Ayo- Chris Brown
- Fight for You- Jason Deluro
- Finesse – Bruno Mars ft. Cardi B
- I’m The One- DJ Khaled
- Nice for What- Drake
- We Found Love- Rihanna
- We Own It- 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa
- Wolves- Selena Gomez
- Wild Thoughts- DJ Khaled
- Work B*tch- Britney Spears
Something about these songs just make the run feel a LOT less painful. I feel like you can kind of listen while you’re running and just because it’s a radio favorite you just sing along and the next thing you know you’re done running. These are definitely my best workout songs to run too.
At-Home Playlist
When I’m at home and can’t make it to the gym but want to do a more weigh workout and not just cardio, I usually create my own workout for a specific body part. For these workouts, I tend to like a more fun, upbeat, sound. I tend to let my Spanish side come out here, because my best workout songs for this workout is all Latin. It’s fun, upbeat, and you can always catch a quick dance break in between sets.
Latin Flavor:
- Danza Kuduro- Don Omar
- Gasolina- Daddy Yankee
- Despacito- Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber
- La Gozadera- Gente de Zona
- Llamado de Emergencia- Daddy Yankee
- Con Calma- Daddy Yankee
- Taki Taki- DJ Snake
- Bailando – Enrique Iglesias
- Como Sigo Sin Ti- Flavia Laos (Peruvian singer)
- Reggaeton- J Balvin
- Dinero- Jennifer Lopez
- HP – Maluma
- Mala Mia- Maluma
- Sexy Movimiento- Wisin y Yandel
- Rakata- Wisin y Yandel
- Contra La Pared- Sean Paul and J Blavin
All these songs make me just have fun, let loose and in between sets, there’s always room for a little #nevernotdancing moment.
Let me know what songs you guys like in the comments below! I’m always looking for new songs to add and help motivate me.
XOXO
