How can we enhance your smile? I mean without all the surgery. If your smile can change one person’s day around, why wouldn’t you want to share it? A smile is the first sign of confidence on a person’s face. It can also represent many different emotions.

You can be cute and welcoming, friendly, daring, bold, etc. See, a smile is the best armor we have against the world. Today, I’m going to be sharing a few ways to enhance your smile with an easy morning beauty routine.

But first, the most important thing is to feel and be confident in your smile. Your oral health is often overlooked and can affect your overall health as well. Because of this, a local dentist isn’t always the right answer and you should check with a periodontist.

What’s a periodontist you may ask? They specialize in working with the mouth’s soft tissue like your gums for example and bones. I spoke with the best periodontist in Los Angeles called Implant Perio Center. They explained how important oral hygiene is compared to just teeth.

Sometimes a simple tooth cleaning and whitening is needed and other times you might need a surgical procedure. Those procedures are not “one size fits all” solutions and having the right periodontist can mean the difference between a successful or failed treatment. Your smile represents you. It can change the way another person feels and most importantly gives you confidence.

First Step: Cleansing Your Face

For this morning beauty routine, I always start off with cleansing my face. There are a variety of different products you can use, for example, Neutrogena or Proactiv. The point here is to clean your face from any dirt, sweat, and reduce your pores. Then you should always add a moisturizer after to protect your skin and leave it feeling soft.

Second Step: Brushing Your Teeth

After you’ve washed your face, brush your teeth. Brushing your teeth is super important and make sure you use an appropriate toothbrush and toothpaste. Consult with your dentist or periodontist for which toothbrush is best for you and which paste is best for the results you want. After you brush your teeth, remember to floss.

I personally, hate flossing and never liked doing it. But now, they have so many tools to help you. I use a waterpic to provide the same results as regular flossing would. I find it easier to use and a lot less gross and messy. If you think you might be overdue for a deeper cleaning, be sure to schedule an orthodontist appointment for a full analysis of your gum & tooth health.

Third Step: Makeup

After you’ve washed your face and teeth, you’re ready to create your look. Makeup can enhance your smile and features to add to your confidence. Now, this is what is most comfortable for you. You can simply apply foundation, mascara, and a lip gloss and out the door you go. You can glam it up more with a powerful lip color and eye look.

To enhance your smile, however, it is best to line your lips and have a bit of color. The lining of your lips creates a fuller lip and the color attracts attention to your smile. If you’re unhappy with your lip positioning, there are minimally invasive lip surgery that are available to you to help create a natural, yet enhanced appearance.

As you can see, this simple beauty routine can help enhance your smile in a quick 20 minutes. The first step is to go and get a consultation with a periodontist and check out their reviews. The best way to learn about a doctor is through their existing clients.

It’s always good to make sure your smile isn’t affecting your overall health and everything is healthy. Also, they’re the best to get surgical procedures done with as well. Your smile is the first thing people notice about you. Make it your best look. Be bold. Be confident. Most importantly, be beautifully you.
