Hi loves! Today, I’ll be sharing my basic hair care tips to achieve healthier hair! I know we’re all stuck at home right now and probably going a little stir crazy. So today, I’m going to share my top tips on getting healthier and stronger hair. Since we have all this time at home, we can try to use it wisely.
I know most of us probably have our hair up all day long because “who cares, no one is going to see us” and we probably are waiting like 3-4 days to wash our hair. But that doesn’t mean we should just ignore our hair. I actually have found it better for myself to actually do my hair in the morning. Well attempt to like I normally would for work, doesn’t always happen. But I try… that counts right? Ha-Ha!
Basic Hair Care Tips:
- Less Heat (and right now do you need to? Nope.)
- Let your hair air dry or braid it at night to give it some waves
- Give yourself a scalp massage! It helps stimulate your hair follicles.
- Use a deep conditioner or leave in treatment to meet your hair goals.
- Use minimal products. I love the Moroccan Oil Treatment for my damp hair.
- Eat healthy and drink lots of water.
- Don’t keep your hair up a TON! It can actually damage it and pull it.
Don’t use a lot of heat tools and if you do just make sure you’re using a heat protector spray. I love air drying my hair and then braiding it to give it some beachy waves. I love the Moroccan oil treatment for that, so my hair doesn’t frizz up and it smells great too. I’m working to better my diet to give not only my hair but body the nutrients and supplements it needs, and I drink about 4-5 bottles a day to keep myself hydrated.
If you’re like me when my hair is up for a while, when I finally wash it, I feel like I lose a lot of hair. It’s breakable and not healthy, which is why I use the Function of Beauty customizable deep conditioner. I only try to put my hair up maybe once a week or only when I’m working out to avoid this.
I’ve definitely been using this time to get my hair as healthy as possible. I’ve also stopped using a hair straightener. I’ve moved onto an air hair brush to not put my hair through a ton of heat. We have to use our time wisely and this is how I chose to do it. I’m planning to start a YouTube channel and sharing my reviews and tips as well. For now, here are my basic hair care tips and products to get healthier, stronger hair.
XOXO
