My 2018 Year End Review: My Growth And Motivation

Hi loves! With 2018 coming to a close, I want to take some time to share my year end review. Last year, I wrote my 2018 resolutions and tips to keeping them. Here’s how it turned out: 8 out of 11. (Hey, that’s pretty good.) I’ll also be featuring my favorite photos of the year as well. 

Be Adventurous

I found a new way to find balance in my life by just living in the moments. There were times I didn’t want to go out, I didn’t think I should go on this trip, but then I realized to just LIVE and be DARING. Traveling any moment, I could go, I went and anytime my friends would say to do something, I’d be there. Being tried WASN’T going to be an excuse anymore. 

Be Smart

Throughout the year I would put money aside to my savings to help regrow it and see the results. My work out routine was brought up a notch and I was more consistent with my workouts. I was doing well until literally September. An injury slowed me down and I went from going 4 times to only twice a week. I do drink tons of water and see the results in my skin, my mental sharpness, less bloating. 

My First Year Blogging

This year, I committed to growing my blog to begin monetize it as well. I’ve done that. I began making money on the side with my blog and I felt like I could actually do it full-time. I’m still part-time, but for 2019 I’m planning for more GROWTH. To everyone who supports me, THANK YOU! I plan to add more content, videos, and other things you guys would love to see. Just message me or email me. My blog has been an escape for me to be creative, to be open, to use my voice. 

Personal Growth

This year, my mentality changed to see the world not for what it is, but what it could be. I’ve become humbler, caring, and overall a better human being. At my day job, I’ve always felt the need to help others not matter what their financial status is. I’ve carried that over to help someone in need by giving them cash, food, or being a listening ear. The more we try to understand everyone, the better the world can become. I’ve learned that this year and couldn’t be more grateful. 

Confidence

Last year, I ended my year at Miss Florida USA, I never felt a confidence like that before. To be in a room with such amazing, strong, empowering woman was a blessing. That started for my desire to be in better shape, to grow my blog, to change my social media game. I found a confidence inside myself I never had. This year, I’ll start 2019 with my Miss Florida USA family. I love having the weekend to be surrounded my such empowering individuals, woman empowerment and pure happiness.

Whether, I win the crown or not, the opportunity is what makes the experience for me a winner. There was a strength and confidence I found in myself that allowed me to be daring this year. I submitted a video to Sports Illustrated for their #SISWIMSEARCH which I would never have done before. Competed in Miss Vizcaya Swimwear Model Search and won Miss Congeniality. Both things I wouldn’t have done before.

Sometimes its better to be daring and take a chance than safe. Nothing was more true for me this year. That’s the biggest reflection from my year end review!

Final Thoughts:

2018 was a year of incredible growth. My year end review put me in all my feels. It’ll continue to carry it over to 2019 and I’ll continue to raise the bar higher for myself. I did things, I never thought I would do. There were failures, but received much more confidence and faith in myself to try new things along the way. To believe in myself.
