Hi loves! Carry on travel essentials?! What? What should you bring and what are a must have for me. With my travels one thing I’ve learned is to have a GOOD travel bag. Here are some of my favorite size bags to take, go check it out. But today, I’ll be sharing what I keep inside and is A MUST for me to survive on a flight. Traveling can be stressful, crazy, I’ve literally landed and had to head straight to an event.
So without further to do here are my top carry on travel essentials to have in your travel bag:
Snacks/Water
Sometimes this is the last thing I care about, only because you have to buy your water or drink after passing TSA. Sometimes depending on my mood and diet, I’ll bring a candy, snack or protein bar and just don’t open it until after TSA.
I’m super picky when it comes to my water. I usually always get either Fiji Water or Smart Water, also water is my go-to because I usually have to take my medication on a flight. I’m not a fan of soda because you’ll feel gross and bloated and being on a flight already makes you feel gross, so why add to it? Here are some of my favorite snacks below:
Entertainment
Depending on your flight, they may have movies for free like JetBlue or Alaska Airlines, but you need to bring your own headphones. I’ve had multiple flights where the staff stated they weren’t supplied with headphones, so best to bring your own to enjoy the in-flight entertainment. If you’re not on a flight that offers this service for free, I prefer to listen to music, it helps me sleep.
I’ll usually charge my phone prior to takeoff and then have full battery for the flight. If you’re a reader, then have your favorite book or even a couple magazines to read on the way. I’ve even had some people take out their laptops and work, unfortunately, I just can’t it actually makes me sick looking at the screen and typing. So super jealous of those who can fly and read or fly and work.
I linked my Amazon storefront with some great options of headphones from basic to high end at no extra cost to you.
Under Eye Patches or Face Masks
These are a lifesaver. I mean I do look ridiculous when I’m wearing them and the people next to me do stare, but it helps. So, if I need to look silly publicly for 5 minutes its better than looking tried, right? Instead I look/feel refreshed and glowing. Usually, I go to Ulta and buy a jelly patch, super lightweight and fits easily in your travel bag.
Patchology has great under eye patches as well. It really does take the puffiness away, I know some people use a face mask instead. Find your beauty hack and take it with you. I like to travel with no makeup just a clean washed face and then add the under eye patches and makeup to make myself presentable after the flight.
Make-up
Like I said, usually I’m landing and I’m out. No chance to stop at the hotel or take a minute to get ready. So as we arrive into the airport, I’ll grab my favorite products and go. Now, I usually travel with my whole makeup bag in my travel bag, but if your limited in room, take the essentials.
I would say foundation, concealer, eye liner, mascara, and a blush you can also use as a light color on the lips. Simple things that you’re used to putting on and don’t particularly need a whole station. Again guys, something quick and easy and don’t take up too much room in your carry on travel essentials bag.
Hand Sanitizer/Lotion
If you’re like me, you’ll love this one. I always have hand sanitizer on me, because planes and flights are dirty. Especially since you’ll be eating, applying makeup and using eye patches you should just want your hands to be clean. Unless you like getting up to go to the bathroom each time. Hand sanitizer is a big thing for me to have. Just make sure it is less than 3oz.
Okay loves, so there you have it my top carry on travel essentials to have. It makes the time go by faster by being prepared. It truly does because 30 minutes before we land, I have my little routine to do and next thing I know I’m on the ground. Having a snack and water keep you hydrated and full in case you can’t eat right away. What are some of your favorite carry on travel essentials? Let me know in the comments below!
XOXO
