Don’t Ever Doubt Yourself: My Ticket To Miss Florida USA

Hi loves! My ticket to Miss Florida USA, what? Yes, I’ll be competing in the Miss Florida USA pageant very soon. I’ve known I’ve been MIA these past couple of weeks. I’ve just had so many opportunities being presented to me and also had a belated birthday trip to NYC! I want to let you guys know what has been happening and thank you for your patience with me.

I’m super excited to have you all follow along my new adventures and next week, I’ll be posting about another trip featuring the City of Love so stay tuned. ❤️ Here we go:

DIFF Eyewear Ambassador

First, I have partnered with DIFF Eyewear to become a brand ambassador for them. One of the reason I was so excited about this partnership is because what DIFF Eyewear stands for. They truly are a company that is out to make a difference in the world. This year only, they have donated to Save the Children, The JJ Watt Foundation, The Salvation Army, Best Friends Animal Society, 147 Million Orphans and SO much other charities.

They are out to change the world and help others in any way they can. I literally own about 7 pairs of their stylish sunglasses and boy do they last! I’ve been on cruises, trips, beaches, etc. with them and they never rust and always make a statement. I’m so proud and excited to be representing a brand with that much strive to change the world and be a part of that change.

Fitness Goals

It’s all about consistency with your diet and workouts. Working out isn’t usually my issue, I practically work out 5-6 times a week. Dieting is my issue. This is the part I struggle with the most. I’m always on the go that I find it so hard to actually take a moment and prep my meals to stay on track. Since, I’m a huge football fan I found that during Sunday Night Football its always the best time for me to prep my meals and treat myself a little while enjoying the game.

So Netflix your favorite show and just cook during it, make yourself a healthy treat or have a cup of wine. Not only is it relaxing, but you’re preparing your meals to help you on your journey. It’s also super hard to go out with friends and still be healthy with your choices.

I always find it easier to look at the menu of the restaurant prior to arriving. Your friends will understand your desire to eat clean and who knows you might just convince them to think twice about their dinner choice and try out a new restaurant?!

My Ticket to Miss Florida USA

Finally, my ticket to Miss Florida USA pageant! I’ve been ACCEPTED! I literally applied thinking there’s no way I would ever get in! I’ve never done a pageant before, I’m not tall enough, and so many other thoughts were going through my head. It was such a whirlwind of emotions; I was in New York City at the time I got the email and couldn’t think of better people to celebrate with. However, I was still a bit nervous and scared to send in my confirmation of competing. But then I figured if the producers of Miss Florida USA thought I was worth the shot, why shouldn’t I?

I changed my mindset. I started to not listen to the doubt in my own mind and to just go with it. I got my ticket to Miss Florida USA! I’ll be competing on stage in less than two months to go after that title! I’ll get the chance to share my story and dreams. This can change a lot of things for me.

With this new mentality, I’ve started to be stricter on what I consume, how much I work out, how hard I work on my #roadtothecrown and its only been three weeks since I found out but I’ve already started to see a change in myself. I found a new sense of strength and encouragement in myself that I did not have before. Started to believe in myself like I never had before. I’ve been trying to raise money to help cover some of the expenses along with competing in Miss Florida USA.

One the most amazing things about this pageant is Miss Florida USA is fully changing to show young girls and woman to be a #GirlBoss. They want the woman to represent strength, confidence, empowerment, motivation, independence, etc. I couldn’t be more excited to share my platform to other people and to meet other amazing woman as well.

Currently working nonstop to get healthier (for myself), stronger, and represent myself and my city of Royal Palm in the best light possible. Wish me luck and I’ll be showing everyone a glimpse into the life of prepping for the pageant.

Finally:

Phewwww! So many things, in so little time! Honestly, I couldn’t be more grateful and blessed though. I want to show others that you truly can do anything you set your mind too. My ticket to Miss Florida USA has sparked a new journey for me. Just believe in yourself and the sky is the limit! You can do so much to help others and help yourself, by just have the faith and courage to go for it.

Trust me, I’m scared! I’m scared of failing, not being good enough. I’m scared to not represent Diff Eyewear to their standards. To fail in achieving a healthier lifestyle for myself. Not being myself in the Miss Florida USA pageant and truly show what I bring to the table.

But if I don’t take these risks or chances, how will I ever know if I could obtain them? My ticket to Miss Florida USA is making me take that leap of faith and run with it. Because if you fail, you’ll always have an incredible experience and the memories that come from those experiences. Plus you’ll be able to say I did it and have an extra ounce of courage for next time! We all have one life and I, for one, believe on spending it by taking chances, by buying that plane ticket, competing on a grand stage, helping others and changing the world.
